Standard time is two to four weeks for a perfect-bound book. However, if circumstances require faster delivery, we will try to accommodate you.

What in-house binding options are available?

Binding may be saddle stitched, plastic coil, or perfect bound. Choosing from these in-house options allows us better quality control, faster turnaround, and a lower final price.

What cover options do I have?

Choose from 8, 10, or 12 point weight with varnish, UV coating or lay-flat film lamination in gloss.

How do I figure spine thickness on perfect bound books?

Call your representative for your paper PPIs. Or, use the following equation: Divide your page number by the ppi (pages per inch) of the paper. Example: if the page count is 256 and the ppi is 500, 256 divided by 500 equals .512. This is the thickness for the text. Now add in your cover stock. If the cover is on 10 pt. stock, add .01 for the front and .01 for the back. Your total spine thickness is .532 for this book.

What are the signature breaks?

A signature is created from the sheet of paper printed on both sides to create a folded segment of pages such as pages 1-16. There can be signature breaks of 32, 16 and 8 pages on the web and sheet fed presses. There can be 4 page signatures on sheet fed presses only.

In files, what format do you prefer?

We prefer PDF files, but many native file formats are acceptable. PDF files are required on Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Word, Excel and Word Perfect files.

What are your standard payment terms?

Generally, first-time customers are set up with 50% down and 50% just prior to delivery. Regular customers are standard net 30 days.
