To send files to Sentinel via FTP you need a FTP program. Below are instructions on how to connect using the program Fetch for the Macintosh and Internet Explorer for PC.

Uploading Files Using Fetch for Mac

Mac users can download Fetch at www.fetchsoftworks.com. Stuffit Expander is required to unhex this file. Once the download is complete, run the Fetch Installer which was saved to your desktop.

1. Make sure you are connected to the Internet. After a connection has been established launch the application Fetch.

2. When Fetch opens you should see a window called New Connection

3. Enter the following:
Host: ftp.sentinelprinting.com
User ID: sentinelftp
Password: sentinel
Directory: Leave blank. Click OK

4. You can make shortcuts in Fetch by choosing New Shortcut from under the Customize menu. Enter the Host, User name, Password and name the shortcut. The next time you open Fetch you can select your shortcut from the pop-up menu.

5. You should now see the main Fetch window with ftp.sentinelprinting.com

6. You can upload files to the folder titled Upload.

7. To upload you can either drag files directly onto the Fetch window till a highlighted border shows up and then release the mouse button or click Get File and navigate to where you have your file and click Open. We prefer a Binhex format. Please see the article Compressing Your Files for instruction on how to binhex. Fetch will immediately begin uploading the files.

Uploading Files Using Internet Explorer for PC

Type ftp://ftp.sentinelprinting.com in the address line of Internet Explorer. It will ask for the ftp user name: sentinelftp. The password you will be asked for is sentinel, all lower case. You cannot log in anonymously. You can have IE save the passwords for our ftp site. You can also see the file at the ftp site once it is loaded to make sure it arrived.

It isn't possible to delete from our ftp once your file is sent. It's possible for others that have the passwords to open your file. If you have a security issue contact us and we will set up a folder for your own log in and password that only Sentinel can access. This will take a few days to process. Another option is to notify us immediately upon uploading and we can quickly download and delete your file from the server.

Netscape does not have uploading capabilities at this time.
